Answer:

There are various salient featured of human genome:

  1. The human genome contains 3164.7 million nucleotide bases.
  2. The total number of genes is estimated to be 30000 and 99.9% nucleotide bases are exactly the same in all people.
  3. The largest human gene is dystrophin, which contains 2.4 million bases.
  4. The functions are unknown for over 50% of the discovered genes.
  5. The human genome contains large repeated sequences.
  6. Less than 2% of the genome codes for proteins.
  7. The repeated sequences contains no direct coding functions but they grow light on chromosome structures, dynamics and evolution.
  8. Chromosome I has most genes (2968) and the Y has the fewest genes (231).
