At the high altitude, sun is much closer than the plains and the dust particles are present at the lower concentration than plain surface, that’s why it contains brighter sunlight and contains various atmospheric gases which absorbs the sunlight. Low atmospheric pressure are present at the higher altitudes than the plains that leads to low temperature (cold).
