Extinction is a natural process in which the complete disappearance of a species from the earth occurs and it is an important part of the evolution on earth. Natural disasters like wildfires, earthquakes, floods etc. are the causes of extinction. Other than natural disaster, the species with the following characteristics are more susceptible to the extinction:
There are three types of extinction: Natural (this refers to the replacement of existing species with the new better adapted species due to the unfavourable environmental conditions like drought, severe summer, extreme cold conditions etc.), Mass (this occurs because of catastrophes) and Anthropogenic (this occurs due to the human activities like habitat destruction, settlements).
