Answer:

In the North East region of the India, during the process of Jhum cultivation, Forests are cleaned up by burning and left for regrowth of the plants after a year of cultivation. In the ecological terms, we explain the regrowth of forest as the secondary succession. Secondary succession is the type of ecological succession where regeneration of communities follows disturbances that has destroyed a community. Sites of this secondary succession may be generated by fire, timber harvest, windstorm, hurricane, flooding, insect outbreak etc. it takes more than hundred years for building a climax community as there is already the presence of organic number occurs.
