The following kinds of exchange took place between nomadic pastoralists and settled agriculturists that are given below:
- They exchange milk other pastoral products like wool, ghee, etc.
- Agriculturists gave them grains, clothes, utensils and other products etc.
The administration of the ahom state was organized as follows:
- The ahome state depended upon forced labour or paiks.
- The population's census was taken.
- Each village had to send a number of paiks by rotation.
- By the first half on the 17 th century, the administration become quite centralized.
The following changes took place in the varna- based society as given below:
- Smaller castes or jatis emerged within varnas.
- Many tribes and social group were taken into caste based society which have given the status of jatis.
- Jatis rather than varna, became the basis for organizing society.
- Specialized artisans-smiths, carpenters and mason were also reconized as separated jatis by the Brahmans.
The tribal societies changes are as follows:
- they initiated to involve a centralized administrative system.
- Someone social division within a tribal society also took place.
- Tribal kings started to grant land to brahmanas, poets and scholars.
- Tribal kings also prayed to be reconized as other famous king of the subcontinent.
- In order to build a large state, ahom used firearms.
- Tribal kingdoms began to annex smaller neighbouring kingdoms. For example, ahom annexed kingdoms of chhutiyas and Koch-hajo.
Yes, the banjaras were much important for the economy in the following ways:
- Banjaras were the trader nomads.
- Under sultan alauddin khaji, banjaras used to transport to the city markets.
- They transported food grains for the mughal army during the campaigns of military.

- Both the tribal states were attacked by mughals at different times. This became a cause of their decline.
