Porins are proteins lined hydrophilic channels present in the outer membrane of plastids, mitochondria & some bacteria. They allow passage of large bio molecules, even small sized proteins as per diffusion gradient. Aqua potions are water channels for diffusion of water molecules across the plasma membrane as per osmotic gradients.
