Explain how the biochemical characterisation (nature) of ‘Transforming Principle’ was determined, which was not defined from Griffith’s experiments.
The Biochemical Characterisation are:
Osward Avery, Colin Macleod and Maclyn McCarty reexplained the Griffiths experiment in invitro culture. When hert killed type bacteria and R type non virulent baacteria both are injected to mice the mice died because R type bacteria is transformed into S type bacteria. They concluded that when Protease and RNase do not affect the transformation when DNase is introduced the process of transformation is inhibited and concluded that DNA is a genetic material.
