 MBBS is Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. It is an undergraduate medical degree given to students pursuing medical science from schools and universities across the globe.

Duration and curriculum

● Duration: The duration of the MBBS program varies among countries, but it generally gets completed around 5 to 6 years. This period includes academic sessions and practical training, with the latter taking place in hospitals.
● Curriculum: The curriculum is divided into several phases:
● Phase I includes 2 semesters for Pre-clinical subjects: Basic sciences like anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, and pharmacology.
● Phase II includes 3 semesters for Para-clinical: Subjects such as pathology, microbiology, forensic medicine, and community medicine.
● Phase III includes Clinical subjects : Involves practical experience in various specialties such as internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and psychiatry.
