Biology is known as a Natural Science Subject, that deals with the study of living organisms, and their life processes, functions, and processes – the structure, function, growth, development, origin, evolution, distribution, and taxonomy. Biology is vast; having innumerable subdivisions, sub categories, topics, and disciplines.

Research / Biologist

Involves the study of living organisms for a better understanding of living organisms, their functioning, and the application of that knowledge to develop processes. Independent research jobs requires a doctorate, but many jobs are available for graduates – bachelor’s and master’s also. 

Teaching

Teach in schools, high schools, colleges and even higher studies. One of the most preferred career option that keeps you in constant touch with the subject, developments and discoveries, along with the satisfaction of imparting education. 

Marine Biology / Oceanography

The study of marine life, that is life in the seas, and surrounding environment. It deals with knowing about the animals, plants, fishes, etc – life cycle, evolution, reproduction, survival, food habits, and everything else. Also finding out new species and protection of the endangered ones.

The use of living beings in technology – engineering, medicine etc. It is technological application of biological systems, living organisms, for the making or modification of products and processes, to serve some specific purpose. 

Medical Laboratory / Research

The work includes researching and developing pharmaceutical and medical products. 

Micro-Biology

Study of microscopic organisms and their relation with the environment. 

Agriculture / Dairy

Biology is used in agriculture, dairy, poultry, and other allied fields for proper understanding, to maximize production, reduce losses, and for research and development. 

Wildlife 

Use of biological knowledge to study about wildlife. This is a much in demand field, emphasis on protection, conservation, discovery and knowing more and newer facts about wildlife. 

Environmentalist / Conservationist

Knowledge of the environment, nature and life on earth, helps you contribute to their protection. 

Ecologist

Biological scientists studying organisms, and relationship that exists between organisms and their environment. Requires at least a master’s degree.

Immunologist

A career involving the study of diseases, and providing advice to fight against and cure all sicknesses.
