A survey conducted by Ipsos, an independent company that conducts survey-based research, has declared Delhi University (DU) to be the best in a list of top 20 universities in India.
DU was followed closely by the University of Bombay and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) the second and third place respectively.
Others that made it to the list include Jadavpur University, Pune University, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), University of Calcutta, Hyderabad University, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), University of Vellore, Osmania University, and Punjab University among others.
All universities were judged on the basis of their history, reputation, admission process, course curriculum, learning environment, faculty competence, infrastructure, foreign exchange programs, research facilities, laboratories, etc.
