Kerala Scholarship (DCE Scholarship)

Several Scholarships are introduced by the Kerala Government and different departments for the betterment of the meritorious students so that financial problems would not create any obstacle in pursuing education. The main department run by the Kerala Government is Minority Welfare Department and The Directorate of Collegiate Education. The Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) scholarships are available for school, college. There are 16 scholarships in total under Kerala Government and Central Government. Kerala Scholarship (DCE) Eligibility- Who can apply?

The key eligibility to apply for Kerala Scholarship or DCE scholarship is that the applicant should be a permanent resident of the state of Kerala. Besides this, there are several eligibilities. Read below to know more about this.

Candidates must be studying in ITI courses.
The annual family gain must ot exceed Rs. 8 lacs.

APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship

For Minority

Candidates should belong to the Minority category.
Meritorious scholars can apply only.
Candidates must be studying in Govt/Govt- funded polytechnic courses.
The annual family gain must not exceed Rs. 8 lacs.

CH Muhammedkoya Scholarship

For Minority

Applicants must be girl scholars.
She must be a Muslim/converted Christian. Meritorious scholars can apply only.
The minimum percentage of marks obtained should be 50%.
The annual family gain must not exceed Rs. 8 lacs.

Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Award

For Minority Class

Applicants must be studying in grade 10, 12, vocational HS education.
The annual family gain must not exceed Rs. 8 lacs.

Mother Teresa Scholarship

For Minority Class

The annual family gain must not exceed Rs. 8 lacs.
Applicant must be studying in Nursing, Paramedical, Diploma courses.

CA/ICWA/CS Scholarship

For Minority Class

The annual family gain must not exceed Rs. 8 lacs.
Applicants must be studying in C.A. or I.C.W.A or C.S Courses.
The minimum percentage of marks obtained should be 60%.

District Merit Scholarship

For all Class

Applicants must be studying in grade 12, vocational HS education, ITI, Polytechnic courses.
Applicants ought to have passed Grade 10 with A+ in all subjects.
The applicant must have studied Grade 10 from the Board of Public Examination, Kerala state.

Sanskrit Scholarship

For all Class

The candidates should be studying UG or PG courses Sanskrit must be one of the obligatory subjects.

State Merit Scholarship

For all Class

The candidates should be studying UG or PG courses from Government or Government-aided institutions.
The annual family gain must not exceed Rs. 1 lacs.
The minimum percentage of marks obtained should be 50%.

Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship

For Muslim Women

The candidates must be a girl kid belonging to BPL or backward communities.
Candidates must be studying in HS, Vocational HS, UG courses from Govt/Govt-aided science colleges, or institutions.

Blind /PH Scholarship

For Blind, Deaf, Physically disabled

Candidates must be studying courses from Govt/Govt-aided science, arts, music colleges, or institutions.

Music Fine Arts Scholarship

For all Class

Candidates must be studying in a government music institution or fine arts institution.

Hindi Scholarship

For all Class

Candidates must be studying courses in graduation.
Hindi must be an obligatory subject.

Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities

For Minority

Applicants need to be studying in any grade from grade 11 to Ph.D.
The minimum percentage of marks obtained should be 50%.

Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship

For all Class

Applicants who are in the 1st year of any undergraduate or post- graduate course.
They ought to belong from BPL Family.
The minimum percentage of marks obtained should be 50%.
The annual family gain must not exceed Rs. 2 lacs.

Central Sector Scholarship

For all Class

The candidates should have obtained 80% of marks in grade 12.
The scholar must be studying in UG or PG courses recognized by UGC, AICTE, MCI, DCI.

All scholarships Under DCE scholarship is available online on the Minority Welfare Scholarships Portal or the Directorate of Collegiate Education scholarship portal.

  • Click the Online Registration if a new user otherwise click on Candidates Login.
  • After this, fill all the necessary details and upload the scanned copy of the photograph, signature, and all supporting documents.
  • Then, after registration, the student has to fill the respective online application form.
  • Select the particular scholarship which you want to apply for.
  • Fill all the required details and review before final submission.
  • Press the submit button to end the online application process.
  • Take a print out of the application form and submit to the respective educational institution with all supporting documents.

It can be checked any time by logging to “Registered Students’ status” by filing the required field like scholarship status, scholarship type, state, district, institution type, name of the college or institution.

Terms and Condition for DCE Scholarship

  • DCE scholarship is available for all the candidates belonging to the backward class. Students are required to attach a hard copy of the xerox copy of the bank passbook with the application form.
  • Registered candidates must submit the application form in the concerned department, in person and must take the receipt.
  • Candidates should provide their effective mobile phone number, and current email ID.
  • All the details and documents produced by the candidate must be authentic and true. If the information given is found wrong, then the application form and data collected will be rejected.
  • Applications suspected will not be sent for scholarship and will be thrown-away at the same time.
  • Failed students are ineligible and should not apply for the DCE scholarship.
  • Candidates who have applied for the DCE scholarship or are preparing to apply are recommended not to share their details, bank account number, IFSC code, class 10th/12th roll number, password, and other sensitive information to anyone.
  • Candidates can review their status of the application at any time on the official website.
  • Candidates are required to produce their application ID and password to see their scholarship status.
  • Candidates who have already enrolled in the portal have to renew the account by adding the updates. No new registration is needed.
