10 Career Decisions That Make More Sense Than an MBA

Career After MBA: If you go back ten years in past, you will easily agree to the fact that back then, society evaluated your market value based on the number of degrees you owned, your grades and the college you went to. Fortunately, with the influence of the digital age, these stereotypes are now finding an exit route.

In the present scenario, your grades don’t matter as much as they did in the past given you are extremely talented and capable of finding an incredible job with basic qualifications. So, Those planning to take their careers to the next level must take some time to understand the pros and cons of an MBA.

For few of us, MBA is nothing but a platform to increase our business acumen while for many others it is more like a feather in the cap to show off to the world.

Career Post MBA – What do you pay, what do you get?

When you enroll yourself for an MBA programme abroad, it can cost you anything between 40 to 70 lacs whereas if you do MBA in India, it may cost you somewhere around 10 to 25 lacs. When in India, you’ll get to do a job or an internship which would pay you somewhere around 25,000 per month when the fees that you pay go up to be around 15 lacs. So, you’ll have about 5 years to recover the money you invested in your education. Also, you cannot forget the other expenses be it the cost of living or the other miscellaneous cost. That would probably mean another two years. In other words, MBA does seem a dicey choice right now.
