Admission Criteria
A person scoring a minimum of 60% marks in the examination would be considered to have cleared the examination. However as per the Haryana Government’s extant reservation policy of Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test, the government can decide to give 5% concession to candidates belonging to the SC/ST, OBC, differently able persons etc.
Apart from this the candidate must note that having cleared the HTET examination would not confer them the right of employment or recruitment, as this examination is just one of the important factors of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
Exam Structure
HTET consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) across three levels, with no negative marking. Each level has a specific structure:

There is no negative marking associated with the HTET examination. Each paper consists of 150 multiple choice questions with each carrying 1 mark. For every question answered correctly the candidate is awarded 1 mark and for every wrong answer 1 mark is deducted from the total.
