Physical education given priority to curb rising childhood obesity in China, know the new guidelines

The Ministry of Education of China has issued new guidelines to prioritize physical education in primary and secondary schools to tackle obesity in China. According to the official Xinhua news agency, these schools will have to ensure that physical education teachers are given the same status and respect as teachers of other subjects such as Chinese, mathematics and English.
