PRMO is the first level exam of the mathematics Olympiad. This exam contains six stages, and the mathematics teacher association organizes the PRMO exam. The remaining stages are organized by the Homi Bhabha center for science education. This exam is usually scheduled for August every year. The students of class 8th-12th are eligible to participate in this examination, and PRMO and the IOQM are the initial stages for all mathematics Olympiads. PRMO is a national-level examination and a scholarship program that contains 30 questions, and the paper is bilingual (English and Hindi).
In this examination, 300 students are selected from classes 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th, and six from class 12th for the next stage RMO.

The Stages of the mathematics Olympiad
There are six stages in the Mathematics Olympiad that are listed below:
Stage 1 – Pre-regional mathematics Olympiad– It is the first stage of the exam. This exam contains six steps, and the mathematic teacher association is responsible for organizing the PRMO exam, and the other remaining rounds were introduced Homicenter for science education.
Stage 2- Regional mathematics Olympiad– The second stage of the mathematics Olympiad is organized under the guidance of HBCSE. This exam contained multiple-choice type questions, and the duration was 3 hours. It is a pen-paper-based test, and the students are provided the exam streets and rough paper for the rough work. After the exam, the examiners collected these papers.
Stage 3 – Indian national mathematics Olympiad– High school students are eligible for the examination in the 3rd stage of the Mathematics Olympiad. This exam attracted thousands of students, but only 30 students were selected.
Stage 4 – Indian Mathematics Olympiad training camp (IMOTC)– After qualifying for the Indian national mathematic Olympiad, the selected students are called for the orientation where they get necessary information about the Olympiad.
Stage 5- Pre-Departure camp – The selected students are trained for about 8-10 days at a training camp Organized by the HBCSE before the IMO departure.
Stage 6 – International math’s Olympiad – Top 6 rank holders selected in IMOTC to represent India at the International level.
PRMO Exam Pattern
The knowledge of exam patterns is essential for every student who wants to appear for this examination. This exam contains 30 questions, and the student needs to mark the answers in OMR sheets, and the duration is 3 hours. There is no negative marking.

PRMO Eligibility
To participate in the PRMO Olympiad, you need to meet the eligibility criteria that are mentioned below :
- Only Indian citizens are eligible to appear in this Olympiad.
- Furthermore, the candidate must be born before or after 1st august 2001.
- According to the madras high court orders, overseas Indians are also eligible to participate in all the stages of this examination, except the International level.
- Students of classes 8th-12th are eligible to participate in this examination.
PRMO Seats
- Students from only 25 regions of India participate in the PRMO.
- There are 300 seats required for every region for classes 8th-12th.
- 60 seats are given to the students of class 12th.
- 5% and 1% seats are reserved for the VK and JNV.
- Total seat classes 8th-12th for 25 regions are 360×25= 9000 and 1400 seats for VK and JNV.

PRMO Registration Process
The students can apply online through registered centers, but the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Jawahar navodya Vidyalaya can register through their schools.
- Firstly you should visit the PRMO website www.mtai.org.in
- Then download the PRMO application form in pdf format.
- Fill in the essential details.
- Submit your filled PRMO form at the registration center.
PRMO Result
To check the result, you should follow some steps which are given below :
- First, you should open the website and click on the PRMO result link.
- Then, enter your details (roll number and date of birth).
- The PRMO result will display on the screen. The student can take a screenshot or print out the result.
- In case of confusion, the student can submit their queries to the email address mentioned on the website.
- The merit list contains all the names of students selected for the RMO exam.
